My Lord,
I have the honour to confirm rự
telegram of the 28th. ultimo informing Your Lordship in
reply to your telegram of the 7th. idem that the Tientsin
Municipality has decided to guarantee the Government of
Hongkong against one-half of any loss on the Postal Agency
at Tientsin during one year from the 10th. of next October.
2.
As the Lords Commissioners of the
Treasury have decided to guarantee this Government against
the other half of any loss, the Agency will remain open
until the 10th. October, 1909, and instructions have been
issued by the Postnaster-General accordingly.
